The sample was nice and strong and I loved the fragrance. So, I ordered the 1/2 ounce bottle of perfume oil. It's a LOT weaker. I have the sample vial and just upon opening it I can smell the fragrance. The 1/2 ounce perfume oil is dilute, and I can deeply inhale with my nose right at the opening and it still is not nearly as strong as the sample. I removed the small dropper in order to use it because nothing was coming out. I put a ton on and a few minutes later, neither I nor anyone else can smell a thing. I'm bummed. It is a nice fragrance but not if it's diluted in the larger bottles. I liked the sample of True Gardenia and was going to buy a bottle. Now, I won't. I'm afraid they dilute them.

Best carnation fragrance I have found. I have even ordered extra to "beef" up their already great products that come in carnation. Can you tell it's my favorite cut flower?

Okay, so I had some sort of peculiar scent reaction to the carnation oil I ordered and had to return it--and trust me, it's not the oil, it's me; I'm sensitive to a lot of scents--but the folks at The Fragrance Shop went above and beyond to help me find a fragrance I DID like and COULD wear!
I've never been treated this well! Thank you all!

This stuff is super strong. I was hoping for a nice, mild smelling lotion that smelled like carnation. What I got was so strong I couldn't possibly wear it alone. I'll try a pea-size quantity mixed with another odorless lotion to tone it down. If you have another product like what I thought I was getting, please let me know. Back in the 1970's, Avon had a cream that smelled of carnations. I would love to purchase something like that.
