So happy to have a fragrance that will stay with me all day without begin overwhelming.

This is just such a timeless scent. Like Chanel for some women, Shalimar is either your "signature scent" or not for you at all. I don't think it can be an in-between type of fragrance. It makes me feel feminine and elegant.

Both the body lotion and perfume oil smell very similar to the original. The difference lies in the top notes. The Fragrance Shop version is smoother and much less caustic, lacking the burnt rubber opening of the Guerlain. Also, I detect more of a deeper base of amber, sandalwood and vanilla here that lasts and lasts. Sensual, comforting and warm, fine for all seasons as is not cloying in the least. Will be asking for the Perfume oil on Mothers Day as I already have the body lotion.

The current Shalimar is made with cheaper smelling ingredients than the original. I missed it so much, I gambled and ordered this oil. It is incredible- lasts for hours, smells deep and rich. Great!

The Shalimar replication smells almost better from the bottle than real Shalimar! I was a little disappointed at first when wearing it as it seemed to go kind of thin on my skin. However, after about 15 minutes or so, I was surrounded by a cloud of true smelling Shalimar. I'll definitely keep this one in mind!
