Took a chance and ordered fragrance that would b similar to my Shalimar. Sorry to say I was disappointed. Not really much of a pleasant fragrance that I want to use. That’s why I ordered the small size.

I was totally disappointed in this scent. It was so strong and over-powering that I could not get home soon enough to wash it off my skin. I tried to wash it off in the women's public restroom, but that did not work. I have worn the original shalimar for over 50 years, and I recognized immediately when I put it on my skin that it was not even close to the actual scent. I was embarrassed to get near people in public because of the unkind scent. I could hardly breathe because of the strong scent it emitted. I am so glad that I only ordered this scent in a sample size. I love the Fragrance Shop, but this is one scent that needs to be re-worked.

Shalimar was MY scent several years ago. As I aged & my body chemistry changed, I couldn't afford the cologne because it never lasted long enough on my skin. When I found the oil here, I couldn't have been happier. The oil is very, very close to the scent of the original & lasts much longer than the Shalimar cologne. It's not as deeply rich in scent as the perfume, but I can afford the oil! I feel like I have my signature scent back now.

I wanted to stop using alcohol perfumes. I love Shalimar, so I ordered it and it only has a very faints smell that is similar to Shalimar. :-( I should have ordered a sample instead of small bottle in a bundle of 4 little perfumes. Again, just like mitsouko, I don't like it. I will give it away. Samples from now on.

This is just okay to me. I smell some notes that are similar, but comparing them on either wrist they don't smeel the same.
