I am so pleased with the purchases of Shalimar. I have ordered many times from you, and I am so pleased with the fragrance. Thank you so much for making Shalimar available to me.

Comparing this Shalimar oil to its perfume counterpart is a moving target since the perfume arguably has seen 20+ formulations & flankers in its 100+ year history.
This Shalimar oil unfolds with floral notes followed by a rich, powdery vanilla & spicy incense base bathed in honey. it's a luxurious, warm, long-lasting scent. despite wanting to douse myself in this exceptional scent, I've learned restraint is key since a little goes a long way. the warm, enveloping nature of this fragrance is perfect for an evening with wine in front of a fire.

Took a chance and ordered fragrance that would b similar to my Shalimar. Sorry to say I was disappointed. Not really much of a pleasant fragrance that I want to use. That’s why I ordered the small size.

I was totally disappointed in this scent. It was so strong and over-powering that I could not get home soon enough to wash it off my skin. I tried to wash it off in the women's public restroom, but that did not work. I have worn the original shalimar for over 50 years, and I recognized immediately when I put it on my skin that it was not even close to the actual scent. I was embarrassed to get near people in public because of the unkind scent. I could hardly breathe because of the strong scent it emitted. I am so glad that I only ordered this scent in a sample size. I love the Fragrance Shop, but this is one scent that needs to be re-worked.

Shalimar was MY scent several years ago. As I aged & my body chemistry changed, I couldn't afford the cologne because it never lasted long enough on my skin. When I found the oil here, I couldn't have been happier. The oil is very, very close to the scent of the original & lasts much longer than the Shalimar cologne. It's not as deeply rich in scent as the perfume, but I can afford the oil! I feel like I have my signature scent back now.
