Guess used to get me compliments every time I wore it. I have a bottle of the actual vintage perfume, and this is quite a good replica! I wear it just as it is, or if I'm feeling fancy I layer it with some oakmoss and orange blossom fragrances to really bring out those notes. I'm fortunate to have Guess work well with my skin chemistry - if it didn't, I'd still wear it, but in a perfume locket.

I've been wearing this perfume for over 30 years, I still buy all the actual bottles of the scent when I find them on ebay for less than 200, currently I have 12 of them. So as I have the actual scent and their version, right next to each other this is a true review. So here are the differences for a super smeller: The main difference in scent, is the copy needs a tiny bit more of vanilla to be an exact match, but I can't see it being noticeable to the regular nose as my friends could only tell when I pointed it out. The most noticeable difference is that the copy is lighter and fades a bit faster than the actual perfume, needing a reapplication after 4 hours. Those are minor differences which makes this an easy buy for those who have tried different companies that claim to recreate this scent. I've tried more than 20 of those companies, and this is the only company to send me the correct scent, all of the companies I've tried send the 2000s version of guess not the 1990s.This is not my first review of this scent, I think I was the first review, just saying it was close enough, and I felt I needed to clarify, so people reading this who may have tried to find it on other sites understand I know their pain, and they can safely buy this version and get as close to possible of what they are looking for. I've made repeat purchases from this company and would only suggest them for a recreation of the original 1990s guess marciano for women.

This is as close as it gets without being the original, I'm very pleased.

Every couple years or so I get it in my head to start looking for perfumes that are similar to the original Guess. I've tried other Guess-inspired "duplicate" fragrances in the past with no luck. When I opened the vial from the Fragrance Shop, I was so pleasantly surprised -- it's so much like my beloved Guess! It's slightly less spicy than the original, and to my nose, not quite as complex, especially in the dry-down. It's lovely in its own right, though, and I'm thrilled to finally have an old favorite back in my collection.
