I had been following this fragrance for about 4 years and finally decided to give it a try. Phew! bad smell. Thank goodness I bought a sample size first rather than making the full investment. The service and communication from the fragrance shop was 5-star. Fragrance, not so much.

This is a great representation of Guerlains Vetiver. Last a long time. Projects well. Good job.

I can't compare it to the original as I have never smelled it. However this is such a classy and classic scent that I fell in love with it. Dark and sweet with a nice and tempting sillage. Goes on very, very strong. Any more than a dab and a half is too much. I suggest applying it a bit before you go out so the scent can spread and mellow a little. I'm male, and while there is something vaguely feminine about it, it still has a nice masculine edge to it. Lasts forever and by the end of the day the scent is extremely seductive. Definitely worth a sample and more.

Many consider Guerlain's the best vetiver in the world. I agree. The opening citruses notes are clear but not strident. The complex base notes give it depth, and superior longevity. This is an extraordinary perfume.
