Tried a sample of this one & loved it; as another reviewer said, "It doesn't have the overwhelming scent of Old Spice, but it's not effeminate either.

I've tried two separate sets of sample packs, but this scent is by far my favorite. Masculine and unique without smelling like stereotypical musk or Old Spice (why do companies insist on believing that's how men want to smell anyway?)and the vanilla is perfect here. The directions on all these fragrances say 1-2 drops is all you need, but I can't seem to do that with this one. I think it depends on which scent you're using and/or your body chemistry, but I use quite a bit more than that before feeling like I have on enough. I've even checked with other people to make sure I'm not on "cologne overload," and people still say they can only smell it if they get close enough. Just be aware that you may need more to achieve the desired results.

EXACTLY what I was looking for, fantastic scent reminiscent of sweet vanilla (not too sweet) pipe tobacco..you won't be disappointed, go for it!

I can't compare it to the original but this is a fantastic scent. My husband gives it four stars (he's very tough to please so for him a four is the perfume equivalent of the Stanley Cup) and I give it five. I just can't keep my nose away from his neck when he wears this. The clove really stands out for me and the tobacco note is noticeable but not overpowering. The result at day's end is sexy vanilla-y base notes, but not feminine vanilla, rather a very masculine vanilla. All the notes balance together beautifully, synergistically, harmoniously... This scent also has staying power. I can still detect it at the end of the day, especially if it has come in contact with his clothes (that is, transferred to his shirt from his chest/neck). This is the first male scent that I love. I typically don't like colognes as they make me sneeze and I find men just don't know how much to apply - they tend to overdo it. So far my husband has tried applying this with a light hand as well as a heavy hand and, either way, my nose ends up embedded in his neck.
