L de Lolita Lempicka is one of only two Lempicka fragrances I ever liked -make that loved. This oil has that same sweet/spicy/powdery scent of orange, cinnamon, vanilla and incense I adored. I'm giving it only 4 stars because it doesn't seem to last as long as the perfume, but I'll take what I can get! Now, if only TFS would make its sister frangrance, Fleur de Corail, I would buy that too!

I’ve never smelled the original so I can’t compare there but this fragrance oil is awesome! A beautiful sweet vanilla with spice, what’s not to love? I also like to layer this with a straight vanilla fragrance to up the sweet factor. If you like vanilla and gourmands you’d probably love this!

To preface: I am a very big fan of L de Lolita Lempicka, and currently wear it quite often. What draws me to that fragrance is a combination of a dry dustiness, something like a not-too-sweet cake, a bit of spice that melts perfectly into the dustiness, and the tiniest bit of citrus. It's an incredibly well blended fragrance, and evokes a feeling similar to finding a small glistening faberge egg in the attic of a Victorian house as your grandmother bakes a lemon poundcake in the kitchen 4 floors down.
The L de Lolita by TFS is well blended, and the first top note waft I get after applying is spot on. What I find is that 'dustiness' I appreciate in the original L is more like an incense/smokiness here, that after an hour on my skin chemistry verges onto cigarette smoke now and again. It's not a stale smoke, and even so I've been told it's more like incense on me, and not cigarette smoke, so it may be my nose. I don't find it that unpleasant, but what it lacks is the delicate dusty pouf that the original L does on my skin, and is a more heady and thick scent here. It makes sense though, since this is an oil. Sometimes it kind of oscillates--I catch the original L and then it swings back into something thicker. A bit less sophisticated and delicate than the original, perhaps instead of being a Russian ballerina Grandma was secretly in the circus, and you find a gold cigarette case from a mysterious old lover in the attic instead.
I still really like this oil and will repurchase when finished.

I had already ordered this as a sample a few weeks back and loved it. I just don't care anymore that the original perfume has been discontinued. Now I have the Fragrance Shop! =)
Thank you so much!
P.S.: this version of the perfume is MUCH better than the original. Smells amazing, lasts all day and skips all the alcohol junk.
