Although I do not know how close this is to the original ELie Saab, it holds its own. The challenge is the first few minutes because of the initial scent a very heavy jasmine. It takes an hours to mellow out and that's when it's truly lovely. So have patience and tolerance for too much jasmine in the beginning I guess ...

At first it smells like you took some roses and candied them with syrup and sugar. I almost want to eat my wrist it is so good. It becomes more complex as it wears and the woods emerge and the roses become more watery and floral. This a very sweet, seductive scent.

I am glad that TFS included this sample with my order. At first when I smelled it I didnt like it. Some months later I revisited it and fell in love with it, had to order more. This is a sweet floral scent, dries down to a soft powdery scent, I love it. Highly recommend trying this.

This is a strong smelling oil and it is a little dry and woody to my nose,if that makes sense. It's a beautiful smell!
With this type of oil, given its strong smelling nature one tip I have is to put it in an oil mister or in a spray bottle with some glycerin. It gives a nice spritz without watering down the smell and I find that it makes the oil smell even better this way. It works very well for oils that are naturally more intense because it helps them unfold quicker on the skin and gives me a lighter and more even application.
