Love in Black was inspired by former first lady Jaqueline Kennedy.  The fragrance is composed of ingredients that were inspired by the places she visited and loved. It is a warm floral fragrance that opens with a blast of violet. Cedar makes an entrance, intwined with iris, clove, musk and rose.

    Almost there!

    I will start by saying that I own a full-sized 2.5oz bottle, which I purchased from Neiman roughly 2 months ago. While this rendition is quite close, the Virginia cedar note is less prominent than in the original. The restrained cedar note might appeal to more people and make the oil version less "odd" than the original Creed, which can smell a little bit too much like a cedar closet. Compliments are owed to the Fragrance Shop on the base of this scent, which is not sharp and pungent, like the Creed bases tend to be. In my opinion you have improved on the scent, however, if for whatever reason you'd like to try-reformulating it to be closer to the original, I can send you a free decant from my bottle.
