    Red rose petals

    I was really looking forward to the beeswax base notes. It's very nice in the Poppy & Barley fragrance. However, I smell only red rose petals. It's an accurate rose petal scent, but not quite what I expected.

    Gorgeous rose fragrance!

    I should clarify that not only have I never smelled the original Jo Malone scent, but I got the body lotion rather than the perfume oil. I've purchased enough of The Fragrance Shop's oils to know that they're really high quality and pretty darn close to what they claim to be, so I trusted going into this blind buy that I'd get a good, clean true rose scented lotion, and I did. It really does smell like freshly cut roses, and the lotion isn't greasy at all which is great. I'll be coming back to get the body spritz soon!
