Black Pepper

So many so-called black pepper scents smell somewhat like what they claim to be; but they are either artificial smelling or have other notes that, while may not be unpleasant, distort the fragrance so that it becomes not exactly what fresh cracked black pepper smells like. If you want a TRUE black pepper smell, this is it.

Not of the freshly cracked peppercorn variety but that of the small paper packets found at a sandwich shop.
Douse yourself liberally in several of those packets and you'll have the right idea.
In that way, it is a fabulously pure scent ready to be combined with something complimentary on top.
however it does not seem to linger long at all (maybe 3 hours or so)--the top note is too strong and the middle disappears too quickly for refreshing to be a solution to this. 85 points.
