    Good approximation of existing Bellodgia

Smells pretty good, but I should have asked for classic Bellodgia, not current. Too much lemon and rose, not enough carnation and depth. It was a deeper fragrance than Guerlain’s l’Heure Bleue, which I also have, for summer. This was a winter scent.

    Magnificent!

I ordered this as one of my sample perfume oils because I really like the beautiful smell of carnations. I'm so glad I did! I've fallen in love with this fragrance.

I find it to be heady and ethereal when I first apply it and just really lovely as time goes on.

My only complaint is that it doesn't have a strong sillage (others may actually prefer this but I like it when someone can stand a couple of feet away from me and catch a whiff of my perfume) and doesn't have a lot of staying power on me. However, I'm going to buy more of this and will try layering it with the body spray with the hope of remedying this.

A real find! Thanks so much, TFS!

    Wonderful carnaton

Among the great vintage florals this is the great Carnation Queen, redolent of cloves, with an elusive rose note, and a very rich base. If Bellodgia were a fabric it will be brocade. I don't agree with TFS that this is best for casual wear. It is not as sultry as the great Narcisse Noir, but has its own opulence. It is a grown up perfume for a lady dressed in a gown, or an elegant suit, not in jeans. My mother wore it often, this spicy carnation, ageless through so many decades, and just as chic.
P.S.: Let the fragrance develop for at least half an hour. This oil takes a while to offer its best, but then it is quite faithful to the original Caron.

    Pure oriental heaven

This is such a sensual fragrance! It gets a lot of compliments, sillage is enourmous and people keep saying it's different from everything they're used to. Love, love!

    LOVELY, LOVELY

I have really enjoyed this fragrance. I put it on at the crack of dawn and there is still a slight scent in the morning! It is a wonderful combination and I would recommend it if the composite scents are ones you enjoy.
