Aventus smells great and has a nice throw, esp for a body spritz.

This is by far the freshest dupe out there. Because of it's freshness, it makes it slightly more unisex than the OG. Meaning, I never thought of wearing my husband's aventus but this impression from TFS - I want to wear! I secretly wear this to bed sometimes LOL. I have tried so many dupes: dossier, Armaf, Afnan, Mont Blanc, and I have the OG itself. The OG is smokier than this and the OG gets smokey after 20min or so. This gets those birch/woodsy/ musky notes after an hour, but it doesn't ever get as smokey as the OG. Personally as a woman, I find this version the BEST (yes, better than the OG!!). When my husband wore this I couldn't stop going in for a sniff. Longevity wise this is maybe 6 hours (5 drops) before it becomes a skin scent. Projection is not going to be like a cologne as it's an oil but when you walk by someone they will smell it (not overbearing). I'm wearing it now and I can't stop sniffing my wrist! I plan to try their version of Aventus 10th anniversary (that one is supposed to be smokier...FYI). Shipping to Canada took 3 weeks - well worth the wait.

I've purchased this same scent from other producers and just an all around bad experience. TFS's version of the Aventus oil is well balanced, clean, and an amazing dry down fragrance. I don't know enough about the process to get technical but I would say it is well done with care and excellence. As of now, the smell doesn't project after 30 minutes and is completely gone from my skin after about 2 hours. I can't speak on how other people's skin responds, that's just mine. However, someone else in the comments mentioned that the longer you have the oil, the longevity improves, so I'm okay with waiting a while if that's the case. Otherwise, happy with the company and their products!
