    Very close but missing a note or two

    Because the original scent has been discontinued, I was really hoping this ardenbeauty "type" oil would be a good understudy for the original eau de parfum. This oil is pleasant, but when I compare it to the original I find the oil is missing some of the aquatic notes and the more delicate (dry? jasmine-like?) floral notes. The oil smells a little root-like and earthier than the original.
    I might try mixing this with something aquatic and/or floral.
