This fragrance first launched in 1993 as JP Gaultier, but has been renamed Classique. Rose is spiced by Anise and sweetened by Orange Blossom and Vanilla. Ginger also adds Spice to create a gorgeous Ambery composition.

Top Notes: Bergamot, Lemon, Orange Blossom, Mandarin, Star Anise, Pear, Rose, and Peach.

Middle Notes:
Plum, Tagetes, Tuberose, Ginger, Orchid, Lily, and Ylang-Ylang.

Base Notes:
Cedar, Amb

    My husband asked what do you have on? I ignored thinking he was speaking of the candles I had just lit
    he asked repeatedly until I told him in a nutshell he said that's a winner I love it even more now!!

    A distinctive fragrance

    I never smelled the original, therefore I can make no comparisons between the oil and it. It is a distinctive oriental, with strong citrus and fruity top notes and a floral spicy heart. As far as spicy orientals go I prefer the elegance of Chanel's Coco and the boldness of Saint Laurent Opium,both in excellent versions by The Fragrance Shop. Still, this is a matter of personal preference. I find Classique interesting, but not a masterpiece.

    Alluring!

    JPG Classique is my signature scent. I thought I'd try the perfume oil sampler & the dry body oil & am SO PLEASED I did! Wore the dry body oil after a shower and when i walked into walk, someone said wow someone has on beautiful hand lotion. Inside I smiled as I knew what it was :) smells very similiar to JPG and I will be bcak for more!
