Like a lot of other reviewers have mentioned, a few of the top notes are missing. My nose is not educated enough to tell which ones they are, but it can definitely detect their absence; that confused me in the beginning. The dry down, however, is practically indistinguishable from the original, and lasts a lot more; I can still smell it on my pulse points 24 hours later, faint but there.
The body lotion is excellent, neither too thick or too runny. A little goes a long way, so, although it is not particularly cheap, it gives you a lot of bang for your buck. I add a few drops of oil to the lotion before applying it when I want to maximize effect.

Very good spicy smell. I like Egoiste, but this one I really love.
For me it is an unisex fragrance.
I am a woman and enjoy wearing it.
Got positive compliments from friends.
Definetely would buy it again.

A very good replication. I agree with Mo's review above: it lacks the cinnamon note, but since the rose is quite present, I don't mind, since cinnamon is not one of my favorite notes, and rose is. Better longevity than the original, about 5 hours on my skin. TFS has preserved the essence of this scent, and certainly its elegance.

This is about 90% identical compared to the original which I did compare them side by side.
0242 is missing the cinnamon note, and the tobacco smoke note is different, other than that this is an excellent substitute if you cant get your hands on the designer formulation.
0242 Developes at a different pace as well, each stage takes longer to get to, but they are virtually the same.
Longevity is about 4 hours with strong projection initially and fades to skin, you can still smell it after 4 hours, but not at the strength that I prefer. As a side note, the designer formulation doesnt last long on my skin either, so I cant fault 0242 for that, but if its possible to boost the longevity in this to 8+ hours, I would keep a bottle of this at all times.
FYI since this is an oil application, it makes re-applying a very favorable option, for me to re-apply the designer, I have to spray it on, which then also invades the room space, but carrying a small bottle of this and dabbing it on, keeps the fragrance more in your space, it radiates from you, not the bottle, so in terms of application, this wins, since I would have to re-apply them both, I would prefer to use this formulation and application.
Four stars for lacking Cinnamon (one of my personal favorite notes in the original) and I hope Fragrance Shop can improve longevity on this one, I would absolutely recommend it as a very desirable substitute!
